Managing your Comments and Contacts

Comments and Contact details provide important context for the work being carried out and help ensure everyone involved has access to the information they need. Within DRS, comments can be recorded to capture updates, instructions or notes from planners, contact centre staff, customers or field workers, while contact details ensure the correct people can be reached when required. This article explains how to view, add and manage comments and contacts within the system.

Update Comments

Selecting Update Comments will display a modal, allowing you to update the associated comments and descriptions with the Job and Order.

You can update comments from the Job screen, the Job details screen or within the diary using the action buttons.

From the Jobs view, select a Job and click on the Update Comments button.

You will be presented with a pop-up box containing the different areas of the system comments can be applied. You can add or amend comments and click save.

Comments

Description

Order Comments

Associated to the overarching order and usually the description of the work applied in the back office system. Amending this will amend the order comments across all Jobs in the system as well as the overarching order.

Operative Comments

Usually returned from mobile when a job is completed by the operative, follow on details or materials needed

Planner Comments

Usually added by planners for further job information


Update Contact Details

You are able to amend the contact details for the customer contact without the need of rescheduling the job.

From the Jobs view, select the job and click on the Update Contact Details button.

The update contact details pop up box will appear, amend the details for contact name and phone number as required, confirm if a text message is required by selecting Yes or No and click update.
