Managing your Order Templates

Order Templates are used to define meeting configuration or sequenced tasks within DRS. Sequenced Tasks are orders that create a defined order of events. These can be requested through the Core API or created manually from the Orders tab in DRS.

Configuring your Order Templates

Order Templates are used to define Meeting configuration or Sequenced Tasks.  Sequenced Tasks are Orders which create a specific order of events when requested via the Core API, or manually created through the DRS Orders Tab.

When editing an Order Template and clicking ‘New’ alongside ‘Job Sequences’, a new row will appear where you are able to specify various existing job templates (please see Job Templates section above for more info.) for each stage of the order. On each row, you can specify the sequence type along with the planning window start and end.  

Order Templates can include the following options:

Field Name

Description

Automatically scheduling up to the horizon

Allows DRS to automatically schedule jobs in the sequence up to the configured scheduling horizon

Template for meeting

Identifies the Order Template as being used for meeting-based configuration

Same worker in sequence

Requires the same worker to be used across jobs in the sequence, where possible

Sequenced Orders can be used to create a series of connected tasks. When configuring, you have the option of selecting from the following fields.

Field Name

Description

Job Template

The Job Template to be used for that stage of the order

Sequence Type

Defines how the stage should behave within the sequence

Planning Window Start

The earliest point at which the stage can be planned

Planning Window End

The latest point by which the stage should be planned
