Managing your Worker Templates

Andrew Dotto Updated by Andrew Dotto

Worker Templates define the Attributes that can be configured against a Worker.

These Attributes are commonly used to represent the worker’s skills, trades, qualifications, or other abilities required to complete work. For example, a Worker Template may include Attributes such as Skill, Trade, or other worker-specific capability information.

Configuring a Worker Template

Worker Templates can be managed using the available action buttons.

From this screen, you can also edit, add, or delete Customised Object Attributes and Abilities.

Configuring your Abilities

Worker Abilities are used by DRS to understand what types of work a worker is able to complete. Selecting an Ability and clicking Edit opens the Ability configuration screen.

The fields displayed will depend on the Ability type selected. After choosing the type and clicking Next, the relevant configuration options are displayed.

For example, a Skill Ability may be configured as a string closed list. This allows you to define a controlled list of possible skill values that can be assigned to workers.

Depending on what type you choose, the relevant fields will be displayed when clicking next.

Taking the example of a SKILL ability, a string closed list will be chosen and when clicking next, you are able to populate a list of possible values that are relevant to the skills needed for a worker to carry out tasks.
