Reassign and Reschedule your Tasks
Updated
by Andrew Dotto
Reassigning jobs allows planners to move work between workers when schedules change or adjustments are required. This helps maintain efficiency, respond to operational issues and ensure work is completed within agreed timeframes. Jobs can be reassigned either from the Jobs screen or directly from the diary using the available action options.
Reassigning Jobs
Jobs can be reassigned from the jobs screen or from the action menu within the diary. To reassign from the Jobs screen, select a single or multiple number of jobs from your Jobs view and click the Reassign Button. *Selected Jobs must be assigned to a single operative.

The following options should be reviewed and selected as require.
Option | Description |
Use time window | Checking this box will result in the task being scheduled within the existing time window. |
Ignore required abilities | Checking this box will result in the Worker list including people who do not match the ability requirement of the task. |
Ignore Sectors: | Checking this box will result in the Worker list including people who are not assigned the required Sector. |
Within the Possible Workers section, resources can be removed by clicking on the Trash icon.
Different resources can be selected by clicking on the Refresh icon within this section. This will open a list of workers with matching abilities

Select a new Worker from the list and then select Choose this Resource in the Reassign Job window

Choosing a resource will commit the rescheduling to the Resource selected.
Rescheduling Your Jobs
When selecting Reschedule Jobs, the Scheduling Mode window is displayed to allow users to define how the reassignment should be applied. This includes selecting the appropriate scheduling and preservation options to control how existing appointments are treated and how new assignments are calculated. Users can choose to simulate the outcome before committing changes, ensuring the impact of the reassignment is understood before it is applied.

Once the appropriate selections are made, click on the following:
Simulate: to see the results without committing the schedule.
Reassign: Commit the schedule changes.
Select your preservation mode from the options and select your scheduling window options.

Keep Time Window: Will keep the time window already associated to the jobs
Between: Will allow you to specify the window between dates and time you want to schedule
Initial Time Windows: will revert to the initial time windows the job came in on
