SOR Multi
Purpose
This article will help you understand how to use the SOR Multi Template Mapping functionality.
What is the SOR Multi Template Mapping?
This configuration allows you to convert multiple job templates into a single job template allowing multi skilled workers to do two types of work in one job.
For instance, if a job is raised with SOR 1 associated with a Carpentry job template and SOR 2 associated with a Joinery job template, you could configure it to create the job under a combined Carpentry/Joinery template. This would ensure the job is assigned to a worker skilled in both areas, rather than to someone who specialises solely in just Carpentry or Joinery.
In addition to cross disciplines, Multi Templates can also be utilised for worker's skill level. For instance, if a job has two SORS one of which is level 1 plumbing and the other is level 2 plumbing. A worker with Level 2 plumbing skills can be allocated the entire job, whereas a Level 1 plumbing worker could not.
SOR Multi Template Mapping is accessed via this menu:

Configuration > Templates > SOR Multi
NOTE: This may require enabling within your base installation
How to configure SOR Multi Templates
Add and Copy will allow you to create a new Multi Template mapping, Edit will allow you to modify an existing template configuration. In all cases, the following screen will be displayed.

Adding or Editing a Template
To add a new entry, click on the Add button from the menu. Clicking Edit will require you to select an option before the Edit screen will appear.

In both cases, the following screen will be displayed. You can fill in the details required as per below

Field Name | Description |
ID | This should be unique and must contain no spaces. |
Description | This should be a description of the Template in what it is used for. |
Match Job Templates | These are the Job Templates that the SORs must match against before it will convert them into a different Job Template. Select from the Possible Values box and move them into the Selected Values box. |
New Job Template ID | This is the resulting Job Template that will be used |
Sequence | The Sequence number will dictate the order in which the combinations are assessed. Best practice would be to have the largest combinations of templates as the lowest sequence so that this matches first. The Sequence value must be unique. |
Click Save

This configuration will result in any Job which is raised with a template Mapped to Joinery and Any Pair will create a Job for scheduling using the JOINERY PAIR template.
