SOR
Purpose
This article will help you understand how to best manage your SORs within DRS.
What are SOR Templates for
SOR's determine the type of work that needs to be done. SOR Templates are how we define SOR's for DRS, allowing us to specify duration, service requirements and other key options. SOR Templates are then assigned with Job Templates to allow Jobs to be scheduled to the right resource.
How to configure SOR Templates
SOR templates can be managed directly within the configuration area of DRS.
Configuration > Templates > SOR

From here, you can add, update or delete individual SOR codes.

Managing your SOR Templates
Selecting an existing SOR and selecting Edit, or selecting Add, will allow you to configure your SOR's within DRS.

The available parameters will allow you to configure the following details.
Parameter | Description |
ID | This should be your SOR from your Integrated system, commonly Housing or Works Management System. |
Description | This is the description of the SOR, describing what the task required to complete is. This has a maximum length of 250 characters. |
Job Template | This is the Job Template you wish the SOR to map to (this must be created in the Job Template Section first) |
Duration | The Standard Minute Value of the job. A Standard Minute Value is the duration in minutes it will take to complete the job. This value does not need to match any configured value within your Integrating system, but should match the expected time to complete the individual task. |
Booking Type | Should always be ‘Housing Repair’ if you are using the DRS BookingHub, otherwise, this can be any value. |
Default Template | Keep set to No unless instructed by your OneAdvanced Consultant. |
Do Not AutoSchedule | Keep set to No unless instructed by your OneAdvanced Consultant. |
Service Requirement | This value specifies the SOR will be used by the Cyclical Servicing Module for scheduling. Setting this to YES, will set the value of SERVICE_REQUIREMENT on each new Service Order containing the SOR to TRUE. |
Time Only | A Time Only SOR can be used to allocate additional time to the Total Duration of a Service Order without changing the Template. An example of this is having a Service Order with 2 SORs' mapped to Joinery, and a third TIme Only SOR. This will create a Job with a Job Template of Joinery, with the Total Duration of the 3 SORs. |
