Purpose
This article will help you understand how to best administer User access within DRS. Users are those who are configured to access the system. User access is controlled by associating the User with a configured User Profile.
DRS Users
Users are created through the Users and Profiles menu within the Configuration Zone of DRS.

Selecting the Users option will show all currently configured users, their User Profile and their Active Status.

Creating or Editing a User
By clicking the ADD button, you can create a New User.

The following key will help you complete the entries. Entries in Bold are Mandatory for completion.
Listing | Data required |
Disabled account | This will control the ability for the user to successfully log into DRS using this user account |
This will be the login name the User will use to log on | |
Name | This can be the users name, or an identifying value |
User Profile | This will control the functions available to the user |
User Data | This is a free text field that can be used to record additional details for the user |
Default Country | This will control regionalisation values for the user |
Comments | This is a free text field that can be used to record additional details for the user |
Restrain User Agencies | This can be used in multi agency configurations to limit the user from accessing data in one or more agencies |
Password | This field will set the default password for the user |
Confirm Password | Repeat the password to confirm and allow you to save the user |
Once you have completed the necessary fields and clicked Save, if you have set the user to Active, it will be available for logon.
Changing a Password
Passwords are updated by either selecting the user from the Grid List and clicking the Change Password button

or clicking the Change Password button after clicking into the User itself.

In both cases, you will be presented with this screen to update and commit the User Password change.
